My name is Deanna. I am 34. I work as a visual merchandiser and live with my fiance Steph, our dog Dexter and our cat Cash.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer just after my 32nd birthday and since then have gone through IVF, 3 operations, 6 cycles of chemo, 20 rounds of radiotherapy, 1 year of tamoxifen, 6 months of zoladex and more poking and prodding than I care to recollect.
I’m getting ready for my next lot of preventative surgery having recently finding out that I (along with my Mum and my sister) have the rare BRCA2 gene mutation.
This is my story!
